Microneedling (also referred to as collagen induction therapy) is a comprehensive skin care treatment to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne, stretch marks, and sun-damaged skin. The EndyMed Intensif RF Microneedle system is an FDA-cleared technology designed to help rejuvenate skin by improving skin tone and texture, and reducing the appearance of wrinkles, acne, and scars. The treatment is minimally invasive and is typically well tolerated with little-to-no downtime. Results can be expected within several weeks, however optimal results typically occur after a series of several treatments.
During microneedling, tiny holes are made in the skin using the EndyMed Intensif device. Your body responds to these small punctures by repairing the treatment area and encouraging the production of subsurface collagen fibers. These fibers improve the structure and elasticity of your skin, resulting in a smoother, younger-looking appearance. Patients can target fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, or acne scarring of the face with microneedling treatment for a more youthful-looking appearance.
EndyMed Intensif provides an effective dermal skin remodeling, deep within the skin to revive and rejuvenate the natural production of new collagen and elastin. The treatment triggers the skin’s natural healing process, rejuvenating and refreshing the skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles, acne and traumatic scars in all skin types. It is a minimal invasive option for treatment of acne scars, deep wrinkles, stretch marks and large pores
How does it work?
Intensif RF uses “microneedles” to safely deliver fractional radio-frequency (RF) energy to specific locations into the deeper skin layer known as the dermis. This energy promotes the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, and over time the targeted tissue is replaced by healthy, younger-looking skin.
How long does it take? What is the recovery like?
Each treatment takes about 15–20 minutes of active energy delivery, and results gradually appear over the next several months. While each patient’s skin condition is unique, Intensif RF Microneedle treatment generally requires a series of treatments spaced approximately four weeks apart to ensure optimal results. The procedure is typically well tolerated, with little discomfort and minimal downtime. The most common side effects are redness and swelling in the treatment area, which generally resolve within a few days.
How long do results last?
While each person’s experience will be different, studies have shown that results typically last up to a year after the most recent Intensif RF Microneedle treatment.
